Terms of use

Read this before acting on anything here. It matters more on this site than on most, because the subject is high current electrical equipment.

This is reference information, not engineering advice

SolarSpecDB reports figures published by manufacturers and runs arithmetic against them. It does not inspect your equipment, know your local code, or account for your install conditions. Nothing here is a professional recommendation, a certification, or a statement that any configuration is safe.

Verify before you wire anything

Manufacturers revise specifications without changing model names. A figure correct for one revision can be wrong for the unit in your garage. Confirm every number against the documentation that shipped with your hardware, and follow the installation manual over anything written here.

Battery and inverter work involves currents that can destroy equipment, start fires, and kill people. Where your jurisdiction requires a licensed electrician or an inspection, that requirement is not optional and this site is not a substitute for it.

Accuracy and liability

Figures are recorded carefully and are provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Fields marked provisional are explicitly not yet confirmed against a manufacturer document. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SolarSpecDB accepts no liability for loss, damage, or injury arising from use of this site.

Content and trademarks

Manufacturer names, model numbers, and trademarks belong to their owners and are used here for identification and comparison. Their appearance does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those companies.

Comments

Discussion is welcome and moderated. Anything abusive, promotional, or presenting an unsourced claim as manufacturer fact will be removed, because the value of the comments depends on the same standard as the pages.
