About SolarSpecDB

SolarSpecDB answers one question: will this inverter and this battery work together. It puts the manufacturer figures side by side, runs the same four checks against every pairing, and names the source of each number.

Why it exists

Manufacturers publish the numbers that predict a bad pairing. They publish them in separate documents, in different terminology, with no reference to anybody else’s equipment. A buyer comparing an inverter against a battery has to read two PDFs written by two companies who have never mentioned each other, and translate between them. Most people reasonably do not, and find out at commissioning.

How the answers are produced

Four deterministic checks, run as arithmetic against published figures: voltage window overlap, charge current, surge rating, and closed-loop communication. Each returns match, conflict, or unverified, and the overall result takes the worst case. No model decides anything. No score, no percentage, no confidence rating. What this site will never say

Safe. Approved. Certified. Guaranteed. Those words do not appear as a verdict anywhere here, because a wrong compatibility call in this hobby destroys expensive equipment or starts a fire. Where no manufacturer has published a figure, the site says unverified and leaves it there. Marking the gap honestly is more useful than filling it with a guess.

Who runs it

SolarSpecDB is an independent reference. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any manufacturer listed on it. Corrections are welcome and genuinely wanted: send the document and the page and the figure gets fixed.
